Preet Toor moved to Canada in 1991 and has called Edmonton home ever since. Ward 12 is where Preet raised her 21 year old son.
Preet has been employed with the city of Edmonton for 18 years. She began her career as an ETS bus operator and has since mastered LRT operator, dispatcher, Resource Management Co-ordinator (DATS), and bus and LRT instructor.
As a community member, Preet has been an executive committee member of the Sikh Women's Association for the past 13 years. She has also served on the executive board of directors for Mill Woods Family Resource Centre and has taken the lead on many volunteer projects with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Edmonton Food Bank and Canadian Blood Services.
"Preet is visionary, challenge-driven, and successful professional. She is natural and persuasive communicator. Preet's colleagues look up to her because of her ability to energize and inspire them to achieve common goals. I am confident that she is the only deserving candidate for Ward 12."
